Sometimes I feel like my life has been a never-ending fashion exhibit of glamour and grace. Over the years I’ve been fortunate enough to experienced countless fashion productions, private designer showings and red-carpet events wearing truly rare assortment of dress designs by Ports 1961, Tom Ford and Oscar De La Renta.
However, what excites me more than anything is when I garnish myself in an elegant design made in the 1950’s. From France labels, House of Hartwig to the U.S.Miss Elliette, it’s something about these styles that makes me shine bright, inside and out.

The last time I worn this sheer embossed robe I was literally shedding the shame of diabetes for T1D Exposed Nude advocacy calendar photo-shoot. Since that liberating experience earlier this year at studio 23 with Tara Layman Photography I’ve been waiting for the right moment again to wear it – today is that day.
Wearing nightwear as daywear can be a hit or miss, it all greatly depends on how brave you are and simply how you style it. You can easily slip a sheer robe over a minimalist black dress paired with subtle glitzy accessories to add a dose of European elegances. The key is to own the confidence of boudoir and its sulky demeanor through feeling the power it brings us to embrace our attributes.
Lingerie should never be held captivate until midnight in the bedroom; with the right clutch under your arm it’s a cue that you’re not going to bed rather your evening of luxury has just began.

Sometimes I feel like my life has been a never-ending runway show. Over the last 10 years I’ve been fortunate enough to experienced countless fashion productions, private designer showings and red-carpet events wearing a rare assortment of dress designs.
From all these dresses there has been one that has truly changed my life, a crepe dress by Koldin Original. It’s square neck line, front pockets and belted waist dates back to the early 1950s and from the unraveling hem line – it’s age is no secret. Everyone has their go-to-ensemble, and for me, an authentic vintage black dress is a must. The closest I’ve come across has been from a few reproduction retailers such as Bitter Root Vintage, Dee Foreman and Get Go Retro.
However, when you know, you know when a particular dress has a lasting effect on you.
