The holidays are the perfect time to step out in an ensemble dripping in gold with an undertone of elegance and erogenous. From a style aesthetic mirroring Old Hollywood glamour one thing is for sure, all eyes will be on you.
In the past year, we’ve seen a return to classic beauty with many of today’s Hollywood actresses taking a cue from silver screen sirens Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Grace Kelly, and Rita Hayworth. With classic silhouettes and a few glitzy accessories you can also possess a similar appearance of sophistication and femininity which once graced the golden age of fashion.
This month in Gladys Magazine I invite you to explore the splendor of luxury and inspiration with their Holiday GLAM Issue. Gladys goes beyond the glossy covers and glitzy ads providing all who seek inspiration, media results and glamour the opportunity. For myself, I am honored to have made it on Gladys’ Holiday List of their Most Glamorous People of 2017. Having branded myself through the lens as a Glamorous Luxury Spokesmodel, Account Executive for Gladys and a Diabetes Awareness Advocate I can effortless say – Every setback is the setup for the Glamour in Life ™
For those seeking a luxury branding experience with couture benefits, I invite you to contact me at doris@gladysmagzine.com because media & glamour starts with Gladys.

The winter season is upon us, which allows many to garnish one self in our coziest outerwear. For myself it begins with a chic vintage fur stole accented with a heirloom brooch and Lucite handbag. This particular fur stole is an elegant piece which to this day remains stylish, wrapped around the shoulders of several dress designs new or old.
Today I decided to keep the overall ensemble rather simple, yet classic with the addition of pearls and a gorgeous Lucite top-handle handbag by Kooki De Lou.
Today’s picture perfect setting is at the historic Heilborn House, an 1881 mansion initially built for August Heilbron, a cattle rancher, merchant, and landowner who came from Germany. In the last 65 years, the mansion has served as a restaurant, bank, and art gallery, and now serves as an office for the California Department of Parks and Recreation.
The Heilborn House is the utmost of historic glamour, and the perfect aesthetic for welcoming the beginnings of the most alluring season of all.

Lately my weeks have been travel-heavy with weekend photo-shoots, client meetings, and even a quick SoCal flight to Palm Springs. Whether the trip is for a couple of days or a couple of weeks, there is always a story to share from one’s adventure.
My recent trip consisted of 3 days of non-stop sightseeing, vintage shopping, and fine cuisine at several fabulous restaurants. One of the highlights was lunch at Jakes, a hip, contemporary bistro in the uptown design district of Palm Springs where I had the opportunity to dine alfresco in their charming courtyard. This being my first trip to Palm Springs, or Desert Springs for that matter, it was a pleasure to experience the vivid atmosphere and picture where my grandparents enjoyed their honeymoon in 1957.
During my visit I stayed at the Riviera, a Luxury Hotel and Resort located off highway 111 and North Palm Canyon Drive. The hotels appearance was very much upscale with various boutique touches, however it lacked in cleanliness and overall delivery in room service presentation. On the contrary my room, the Deluxe Studio Suite incorporated a fabulous open concept with 570-square-feet, spacious balcony, a luxurious marble bathroom with a stunning view of their lush common garden landscaping.
One of the many surprises that I encountered on my visit was the strong influence of architectural history that Palm Springs has established with a perspective of Desert Contemporary and Modernism. From countless well-curated streets filled with this dramatic geographic I couldn’t resist conducting a retro-chic photoshoot on location. Wearing an authentic vintage dress paired with a paisley silk scarf, milk stone earrings and Ande clutch this entire ensemble found itself blending with its mid-century atmosphere.
There is something to be said about Palm Springs, perhaps it’s the sociable residents, the 4-star dinning or picturesque scenery I now know why my grandparents choose such a destination over sixty years ago to begin their life together.
