Drink Pure with Dry Farm Wines

Those with diabetes may often run into a dilemmas of being offered a glass of wine with the uncertainty of how much is too much, which varietals are healthy and what is the sugar intake? As a Diabetes Advocate and Type-One Diabetic I’ve experience a wide selection of wines from the valley floor and beyond.

When we drink wine there are so many variables that need to be considered, one of those is sugar content as excessive consumption can link to heart disease, weight gain and obesity, diabetes, inflammation, and shorter lifespan. Consuming less sugar, on the other hand, links to a decreased risk of metabolic diseases. Sugar content in wine varies greatly, and some wines can be a hidden source of sugar in your diet.

In nature you will find everything you need.

While sugar affects the taste of the wine from its sweetness as more sugar generally means a sweeter wine. But sugar also changes the body whereas high-sugar wines have more weight to them with a rich, syrupy mouthfeel, while low-sugar wines tend to be lighter and fruitier. The question many of you might be asking yourself is, “Where can I find wines that are low in sugar yet pure?” The answer is simple, it starts and ends with Dry Farm Wines.

In the video below I share additional details on how you can join the Dry Farm Wines family along with my personal review and partnership.

The Awakening

Spiritual Awakening, Enlightenment, Rebirth what do they are truly mean? Many might say these words describe change within or define a greater purpose for our life. book_1-3Unfortunately, no one can share one basic theory of what a spiritual awakening looks like as each and every person has their own personal experience.

We all look at life differently with diverse points-of-views, ethnic beliefs and attributes to life. However one thing is for sure, when we do awaken our humility will rise with your ego declining. You will find throughout this process many people were divinely placed as a blessing or lesson to trust a higher source. I suppose the question might be if you are anything like me and truly seek for more in your life, you look for the knowledge that will set you on that path.

I am willing to disappoint another to be true to myself. I love, accept and approve of myself in totality.

I purchased The Awakening by Sidra Jafri in 2018 during one of my darkness moments, a time where I felt the sweetness in my life was no longer there. This pain left so much uncertainty in several areas for me until the day I was instantly drawn to Jafri’s book. Before purchasing it, I read a chapter at the bookstore and felt immensely connected to take what she calls your awakening journey.

This week’s issue of 𝒟𝑜𝓈𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝒟𝑜𝓇𝒾𝓈 I share more from The Awakening as I read an excerpt from one of my favorite chapters. I promise this book will have you drawing together spiritual insight from many traditions and melding them seamlessly. I invite you to watch the entire episode and start shining bright, click here to watch now.

Nostalgic Shades of Blue

While 2020 has been a year exhibiting an economic shutdown by the COVID-19 crisis, thousands ill from the virus and many uncertain of what tomorrow will bring, how can anyone even see any love through all of this? If that was your first thought you had, then you are missing what this pandemic is taught us.

For each and everyone of us we all have adjusted completely differently as no one has the same perspective, but what if there is just one new attribute, we should take from all of this – what would that be? It is the affirmation of speaking words of joy and abundance. You might be thinking to yourself, but Doris things are a mess in the world there is nothing but uncertainty and lack everywhere. I would simply reply you are wrong. If you see the world that way the universe only knows to give you more of that thought you desire. Everything we say each word is an affirmation of what we feel to be true and becomes ours future.

Wise words bring many benefits, and hard work brings rewards.

Proverbs 12:14

Today draped my namesake, grandmothers vintage Gabardine Wool  ‘Lady Scott’ blazer, the same one that she worn on her wedding day with my grandfather (here). As I reflect on humanity and love through these challenging times I think of her. She was a woman that spoke only love, never did she say a word of negativity about anyone or anything. She cared from her heart and if you gave her 3 minutes of your time you would feel a sense of warmth from within. My first embrace with love with through her, it’s also where I learned how to give that same love to others. It’s been nearly thirty years since her passing a bittersweet moment, however I know she rest on my shoulders and is settled in my heart.

This week I uploaded (yet another) a new episode of 𝒟𝑜𝓈𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝒟𝑜𝓇𝒾𝓈 on my YouTube channel (here) expanding on this very subject of spoken words of abundance. I am a firm believer you are the architect of your life and if you don’t allow your ego or emotions to dominate your reality you are worlds ahead from others to creating a world of your own.
