Everyone knows at least one person who can walk into a room and it lights up and
brings a sense of empowerment and positive inspiration. I am sure you know who that person is, and you are already aware they are a blessing. Just think of them and their presence as a spark that ignites warmth like a sweet touch on the forearm. You are always happy when they are around, you feel your energy rising and you long for their words of inspiration.
“You are the light of the world. A city lying on a hill is unable to be hidden.”
What if I told you that the person, I just described above attracts a tribe of other lightworkers which all have similar characteristic. When you break down their traits you will find that all of them have not had an easy life, they have had their fair share of heartbreak and defeat. For them they have taken it and like the proverbial phrase states, make lemons out of lemons, and used it to encourage optimism and a positive can-do attitude in the face of adversity or misfortune. They take every set back and see the glamour, a message I have spoken since my diabetes diagnosis nearly 6 years ago.
On this week’s episode of 𝒟𝑜𝓈𝑒 𝑜𝒻 𝒟𝑜𝓇𝒾𝓈 I share how you can be the light as it all starts with us. I invite you to watch the entire episode and start shining bright, click here to watch now.

Have you stared at a rainbow in the sunlit sky before? What you might have captured is that a rainbow has many colors some brighter than others, but never dull always true and authentic.
The question lays on how you can be more authentic to your true self and not a slavish follower of social expectations. The very first thing you must do is love yourself and accept yourself for all your flaws, past failures, and mishaps. You must stop and realize everything starts and finishes with you and at the end of the day you are fully responsible for your words and actions taken. We all have the right to not do what others would expect of us and do what we feel to be right.
“Dare to love yourself as if you were a rainbow with gold at both ends.”
To be or live as an authentic person you must ‘show up’ as your true self despite what others might say or feel, you are being you. It takes courage to say no to someone or make decisions for yourself without knowing what the outcome will be. One of our deepest fears as humans is to feel inadequate.
Think of being authentic as wearing a mask that dulls your own light and provides you no benefit to shine true to your individual colors. If we can overcome our fears and drop what or who we should be this is the day we will experience freedom at its highest level.

Have you ever realized that despite the effort you put into helping another person with the necessary changes that would certainly better their life, they refuse? Well, that is the
dog on the porch.
Changing people is something we cannot achieve no matter how hard we try; the only exception is if they are willing to do the work and have voluntarily asked. The ironic part of all of this is I believe people do what to change however the moment they start to think of the effort, time, energy and the under lining risk involved many will decide to stay in their comfort zone. Besides isn’t it easier to stay within the (m)asses where a box lifestyle is everyone’s way of being.
In the world today, we truly only have two options: accept those for who they are, it does not mean we must approve of their beliefs or behavior and if we do not then we must distance ourselves from them. It’s a formula known as: E + R = O (Event + Response = Outcome) where you can blame the event for your lack or you can change your response to the events until you get the outcome you want.
“Rather than pinning the blame on others understand the real problem is with ourselves and not the dog on the porch.”
This leads me to my story as previously mentioned of the dog on the porch. In life some of us grow naturally while others don’t, this is where you become distorted with another and you begin to separate yourself. Too many people ignore the warnings and remain on the porch with the dog hoping or wishing that they would want the same things which is to go to the park. While they are content with sitting on the porch you respond in a number of ways to this event and always get the same outcome. However, you fail to remember you only have control over you and your actions. You now realize you have wasted all your time trying to convince someone else that you don’t control to go to the park with you. This resistance you are feeling was caused by you responding to the event
in the wrong matter. It’s simple you ask once, “let’s go to the park” they reply they don’t want to, you might challenge their response then after they reply you must response to the event that will provide you with the outcome you desire.
While we want to believe we can control everything or everyone, however we can’t. If you dug a little deeper you’d discover you can not infringe on another person’s spiritual journey, it’s a law governed by the universe. You can try, but it almost never conveys positive results for either party involved.
Finally, you must come to terms that you are 100% responsible for your actions, life and how you react to the events in your life. Placing blame on your outer world is how many of us are conditioned to operate, rather than pinning the blame on others understand the real problem is with ourselves and not the dog on the porch.
